The Professional High School of Economics - Pernik is a school with over 55 years of tradition in professional education and training for the acquisition of secondary education and professional qualification in the field of economics, finance, administration, and information technology. Nowadays, the Professional High School of Economics is the largest high school in the Pernik region. The school provides intensive training in English and German. The high school has 37 highly qualified pedagogical specialists, most of whom have acquired a professional qualification degree or have won prestigious professional awards - Neofit Rilski, Konstantin Velichkov, certificates, and plaques. There are numerous awards for the students in competitions in the professions - accounting, banking, English for economists and others. Students are eager to get involved in regional and national initiatives, and extracurricular activities. For 17 years, the European club "We and Europe" has been working at the Institute for International Relations, which is among the five founding clubs of NABEC. The school is one of the founding members of the Association of Cambridge Schools in Bulgaria. For the last four years, the high school has been involved in the implementation of training activities in a real workplace in collaboration with the business under the project "Student Practices" under the Operational Program "Human Resources Development".
