Gymnasium “Svetozar Markovic”

Gymnasium "Svetozar Markovic" from Niš was founded on September 1, 1954. This gymnasium has social-language and natural-mathematics departments as well as special classes for students with special abilities in physics and mathematics. It is the only high school in Niš with a French bilingual department. The gymnasium has four floors, four IT classrooms, one physical education hall, a ceremonial hall, chemistry, physics and biology rooms, a botanical garden and a students’ club. The following foreign languages ​​are taught in the gymnasium: French, English, Russian and Italian. Students are the recipients of many awards and recognitions, and they achieve results in a variety of competitive fields: mathematics, physics, informatics, chemistry, geography, history, languages ​​and more.
