ANDPDCA will manage 100 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR)

28.10.2021 Of the 29.2 billion euros made available to Romania, 368 million euros are allocated for reforms in the field of labor and social protection. Of this amount, 100 million euros will go to ANPDCA (National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Children and Adoptions), for the development of the social infrastructure component, as follows:

The Government of Romania approved the introduction of new support measures for the training and employment of persons receiving a guaranteed minimum income, as well as young people

15.09.2021 The Government of Romania has approved the Emergency Ordinance amending and supplementing Law no. 416/2001 regarding the guaranteed minimum income and Law no. 76/2002.

The main amendments to Law no. 416/2001:

National Strategy for Employment 2021-2027 and Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy, approved by the Romanian Government

19.05.2021 The Romanian Government has adopted the National Strategy for Employment 2021-2027 and the Action Plan for the period 2021 - 2027 for the implementation of this strategy.

The measures included in the Strategy aim at an employment rate of 75% for people aged 20-64, by the end of 2027. In this regard, the emphasis will be on social innovation, meaning new models of public and private services, developed including through partnerships.

The National Strategy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the period 2021-2027 has been developed (Romania)

12.04.2021 This document is one of the main results of the project "Strengthening the mechanism for coordinating the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities", carried out with technical assistance from the World Bank and which will take place between 25.01.2019 - 25.11.2021.

The first Diagnosis of the situation of persons with Disabilities in Romania

09.03.2021 The National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Children and Adoptions (ANDPDCA) carried out, with the support of the World Bank, the first Diagnosis of the situation of persons with Disabilities in Romania.

At the end of the largest effort of data collection, research and analysis made in Romania in the field of disability, ANDPDCA is able to make public complete information on the situation of people with disabilities, both from the perspective of the legal framework and public policies.

The new adoption law will come into force in March 2021.

09.03.2021 The new law provides for the simplification of the adoption procedure.

For example, the validity of the certificate of adopter or adoptive family has been extended from two to five years.

Also, the identification of relatives up to the fourth degree is eliminated from the adoption procedure in cases where the individualized child protection plan has as finality the adoption. Relatives will be searched only once and only up to the third degree, thus shortening the periods in which children remain trapped in the protection system.

Children's Ethno Festival

05.06.2019 A celebration of joy, diversity and tolerance was held in Vidin, in the building of the Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration of the Foundation "Support for realization" - the first children's ethno-festival Bulgaria - Romania, for children with and without disabilities.

Final conference

01-02.04.2019 The final conference on the project was held in Craiova, Romania, with 46 representatives of the social services sector from Bulgaria and Romania. The forum presented and evaluated the results of the project, set up an informal cross-border network and identified sustainability measures for the initiative.
