Training sessions in Bulgaria

11-12, 18-19.11.2017. In Montana and Dupnitsa, two two-day workshops were held for youth leaders and youth workers under the Youth Riders project. The themes of the training were "Organizing of events" and "Organizing successful volunteer initiatives and campaigns", respectively. 

Youth Leaders Camp

In the period 30.08 - 04.09.2017. a youth leaders camp was held in the Kamеnitsa Hill, near Nis, Serbia. The camp was attended by 40 young people, 20 from each country - representatives of youth and working with youth organisations from the border region. Two training sessions were held - Strategic Planning and Advocacy and Public Relations. A Memorandum to build a cross-border youth network was signed and an Address to the public authorities of both countries was drafted during the last two days.

Youth Ride in Serbia

In the period from 5 to 9 June 2017, the Association for Development of Children and Youth - Open Club from Nis will organize a series of public discussions "Youth Ride", within the project "Youth Riders".

Implemented Youth Ride in Bulgaria

In the period from 29 May to 2 June 2017, Free Youth Center from Vidin organized "Youth Ride", a series of 5 public discussions in Bulgaria within the project "Youth Riders".

Present your organization or example of good practice in the Virtual Community

The Association for Development of Children and Youth - Open Club from Niš invites all organizations and associations which implement youth programs and come from the territory of 7 border administrative districts from Serbia (Bor, Zaječar, Niš, Pirot, Jablanica, Pčinja, and Toplica) to access the online database through the site of "Youth Riders" http://www.youthriders.eu and present their organization and their successfully implemented programs, projects and initiatives for young people.

Implemented second training for Youth Riders in Serbia

Three-day training for 20 young people from Bulgaria and Serbia was held in Serbian city of Aleksinac in the period from 28 April until 30 April 2017. The topic of the training was pubic speaking and facilitation of working meetings.

Three-day training for 20 young people from Bulgaria and Serbia was held in Bulgarian city of Montana in the period from 30 March until 2 April 2017. The topic of the training was youth policy.

Research on youth policy in Serbia

In February 2017, Open club conducted a research on the topic of youth policies and youth activism in Serbia and Serbian-Bulgarian border region. The aim of the research was to determine the current situation, problems and needs of youth in the border region in the field of youth policies. Developing a common methodology was followed by identifying the respondents i.e.

Leader camp in Serbia

Free Youth Centre association, together with Open Club Nis and Kamenitza associations,  partners under Youth Riders project, are organizing an international youth leadership camp in the Kamenichki Vis area, near Nis, Serbia. The camp aims to consolidate the youth sector across the cross-border region, by building an informal network of youth and working with youth organizations. 20 youth leaders (16-29) from Bulgaria and 20 from Serbia will take part in it. It will take place between 31.08 - 04.9.2017 (for 5 days).
