FLHS Vidin presents: Nina Dobrev

Most movie lovers may have heard of the Canadian actress Nina Dobrev but probably only a few know that she has Bulgarian roots. Nina or Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva was born on January 9, 1989 in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. At the age of two she moved with her family to Toronto. Nina attended J. B. Tyrrell Sr. Public School, where she started ballet and jazz classes and competed in rhythmic gymnastics.

FLHS Vidin presents the great athlete Stefka Kostadinova

Stefka Georgieva Kostadinova is a Bulgarian athlete,  olympic champion and multiple winner of European and world titles, world record holder in the high jump.

Stefka Kostadinova was born on March 25, 1965 in Plovdiv. She started his career with gymnastics and swimming. She studied at the Secondary Sports School "Vasil Levski" in Plovdiv. In 7th grade she is already a "master of sports", and in 10th grade she jumps 190 cm.

Serbian traditional cuisine encompasses a variety of tastes and smells, created by a mixture of influences of various peoples who passed through here and lived in this area. The traditional specialty of the Bela Palanka region is banica (pie), which our grandmothers prepared on all occasions.

"Days of Dance"

Our small neighbourhood has always been cheerful. The people loved to play, sing, dance. However, back in 1978, the first steps were taken when the Center for Culture began to organize municipal festivals of modern ballet. It was a turning point for a small developing municipality that sought to rise on a cultural level. A significant year and a significant event that will result in a 35-year-long tradition. Due to the great interest and desire to make the festival popular in Bela Palanka, in 1985 the first republic festival of modern ballet "SMOBS" was organized.

PGI - Pernik celebrates June, 11th - Economist's Day

Students from the Student Council of PG in Economics - Pernik made a poster in honor of June 11 - the Day of the Economist.

June 11th in Bulgaria marks the Day of Economists. The day was declared a professional holiday in 2005 by a decision of the Council of Ministers on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the establishment of the First Bulgarian Economic Society in 1895. Later, in 1990, the company was renamed the Union of Economists in Bulgaria.

Georgi Dimitrov and the Memorial of Mining Labor in Pernik (PGI - Pernik)

Students from PGI - Pernik prepared a presentation to present the personality of Georgi Dimitrov and the Mining Memorial, which is one of the most popular landmarks in the city.

Georgi Dimitrov Mihailov is a Bulgarian politician, leader of the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP) and chairman of the Comintern.

Site of national importance in the Municipality of Botevgrad

Monument-ossuary of Botev's rebels already with the status of a site of historical and artistic value of national importance By decision of the Institute for Immovable Cultural Heritage and by order of April 13, 2020 of the Ministry of Culture, the Ossuary of the Botev Chetniks in the village of Skravena was granted the status of a site of historical and artistic value with category "National Significance". An ossuary monument is described in the register of intangible cultural heritage sites in Bulgaria.

June, 9th - International Friendship Day

The Student Parliament from PMPG-Montana celebrated the International Friendship Day with a presentation in the electronic diary of the high school and a talk on the topic in Class Hour.

Friendship is a special kind of love. Love that inspires us makes us better, bolder, more real. Still, it is difficult to find a true friend, but when you find him, you are convinced that there is no greater wealth than him!

Today's Friendship Day is a wonderful occasion to thank your closest friends and tell them you love them!
