"Sfantul Stefan" Foster Care Center in Perisoru township, Calarasi county, organized as a residential service, functions under the authority of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Calarasi, without legal personality, having as general mission the provision of access for children / young people, for a certain period of time, to accommodation, education, and training forthe socio-professional and family integration or reintegration. The purpose of the service is to ensure the protection, upbringing and care of the child temporarily or definitively separated from parents as a result of the establishment, according to conditions provided by the law, of the foster care measure.

Short description:

Within "Sf Stelian" Foster Care Center in Perisoru township are provided the following activities: accommodation of the beneficiaries during the active maintenance of the protection measure, food, personal care, care for residential premises, health care and health surveillance, education, independent living skills development, counseling and emotional support, supervision, socialization and cultural activities, family and community reintegration.

The center comprises 8 villas for children: 3 villas including 12 places, 2 villas including 13 places and three villas including 16 places. Each room includes 2-3 places.

The villas contain sanitary groups, Television viewing area, space for cultural activities. Meals are served in each villa, and the food is prepared in the kitchen of the center.

The center is equipped with a medical and isolating practice, administrative pavilion and a food facility.
