"Protected residence " is a community-based social service for people with a different degree of mental retardation, in a family-friendly environment where people have an independent lifestyle supported by professionals. The purpose of the service includes: Providing social services 24 hours a day to mentally retarded people based on the Small Group Life model to build the basic knowledge and skills necessary for a full community life.
Target group/s or clients :

Persons aged between 18 and 45 with a mild and moderate degree of mental retardation evicted by specialized institutions for mentally retarded persons who have a real chance of social integration in the community.

The services to be provided are:

• helping to meet everyday needs;

• assistance in providing medical and dental services; medical rehabilitation;

• help in building social skills and work habits;

• supporting the process of social integration;

• Assistance for inclusion in appropriate training programs;

• employment support;

• provision of self-organizing leisure time;

• psychological counseling and emotional assistance and support;

• protecting consumer rights
