Mother and Baby Unit is a social service in the community that provides temporary accommodation (up to six months) of pregnant women or mothers and their children who are at risk of abandonment. The service promotes parental affection, supports young mothers through social, psychological and legal counseling and support.
Target group/s or clients :
The target groups of the Mother and Baby Unit are: pregnant women in the last trimester of pregnancy; mothers with children aged 0 -3 years at risk of abandonment; children over 3 years of age with their mothers in Mother and Baby Unit.
