From December 1, 2013, two newly established social services for people with mental and physical disabilities function successfully in Vratsa Municipality. Within the Protected Home and Daily Care Center, beneficiaries of social services, according to their individual capabilities and personal preferences, are organized on a daily basis with various activities (cooking, hygiene, domestic work, occupational therapy). Protected Home's activity is a form of social service in which individuals lead an independent way of life, supported by a team of professionals: psychologist, occupational therapist, art therapist, social worker and nurse. The Day Care Center for the Elderly with Disabilities creates conditions for the full day care of adults in providing food, meeting daily, health, education and rehabilitation needs, as well as organizing leisure and personal contacts. The material base in which the services are provided has been repaired and furnished under OP "Human Resources Development", located on the 4th floor of "Center for Mental Health - Vratsa".
