Life Skills Programmes

14.02.2022 The Animus Association Foundation offers a comprehensive approach to confronting violence and bullying between children. Part of it are life skills programmes for teachers and parents, but which can also be used in social work. You can find out more about them and the training offered by the Foundation on the website bezstrah.org.

Romania: 119, the only national telephone number for child abuse cases, has been launched.

05.01.2022 Starting with January 5th, 2022, calls that signal different situations that affect children will be able to be answered, 24 hours a day, by counselors specialized in social assistance and child protection. In the case of situations announced by 119, but for which the immediate intervention of the Police or medical crews is necessary, the operators of the Departments of Social Assistance and Child Protection will alert the Emergency Service 112.

The National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Children and Adoptions is being reorganized

27.11.2021 The National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Children and Adoptions is reorganized by partial division, and the Authority for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities and the Authority for the Protection of the Rights of the Child and Adoption will be established.

The Authority for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities takes over the activities, positions, related staff and the corresponding patrimony in the field of protection and promotion of persons with disabilities.

ANDPDCA will manage 100 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR)

28.10.2021 Of the 29.2 billion euros made available to Romania, 368 million euros are allocated for reforms in the field of labor and social protection. 15.09.2021 The Government of Romania has approved the Emergency Ordinance amending and supplementing Law no. 416/2001 regarding the guaranteed minimum income and Law no. 76/2002.
