HAZARDS WHICH CAN AFFECT NEGOI COMMUNITY

The man permanently lives in an environment being exposed to a great diversity of situations which are more or less dangerous, being generated by many factors. The extreme manifestations of the natural phenomena such as the strong earthquakes, the storms, the floods, to which we add the technological accidents and the conflictual situations, can have a direct influence upon the life of every person and upon the company.

Only the precise knowledge about these phenomena, called hazards, allow to take the most adequate measures both for decreasing their effects and also for reconstructing the affected regions.

Thus, the hazard is a threatening event, representing the probability of apparition, in a certain period, of a potential phenomenon which is damaging for the human being, for his goods and for the environment.

Taking into consideration the geographical position of Negoi locality, in the Central Plain of Oltenia, in the meadow of the Danube, this one being exposed to some natural phenomena which are varied and which can be classified in the category of hazards. Thus, on the territory of Negoi commune, we can talk about some potential climatic hazards such as the drought, thunders, lightning, hailstone, fog but also hydrological hazards such as floods.
