The National Strategy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the period 2021-2027 has been developed (Romania)

12.04.2021 This document is one of the main results of the project "Strengthening the mechanism for coordinating the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities", carried out with technical assistance from the World Bank and which will take place between 25.01.2019 - 25.11.2021.

The general objective of the project was to make functional "the mechanism for coordinating the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities", ratified by Romania by Law no. 221/2010, with subsequent amendments and completions.

The priority areas assumed by Romania through this Strategy are the following: Accessibility and mobility; Effective protection of the rights of persons with disabilities; Occupation; Social protection including empowerment / rehabilitation; Independent living and community integration, including access to public services; Education; Health; Political and public participation.
